Narcissism Spectrum Test
How much narcissism shapes your personality — and what it says about you.
What this test measures
Based on the widely-used Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI), this test measures narcissism across four dimensions: Grandiosity (feeling superior and special), Entitlement (expecting preferential treatment), Exhibitionism (craving admiration and attention), and Exploitativeness (using others to serve your own goals). Narcissism exists on a spectrum — moderate levels are associated with healthy self-confidence and leadership.
What the Narcissism Spectrum Test measures
Your answers are scored across 4 core dimensions:
- Grandiosity
You show moderate grandiosity — you have healthy confidence in your abilities and occasionally feel you're more capable than those around you, but this doesn't dominate your self-perception. You can appreciate others' strengths without feeling threatened.
- Entitlement
You show moderate entitlement — you have a reasonable sense of your own worth and may occasionally expect treatment commensurate with your effort or status, but you don't habitually expect special dispensation or resent ordinary constraints.
- Exhibitionism
You show moderate exhibitionism — you enjoy recognition and positive attention, and you're willing to put yourself forward in appropriate contexts, but you don't require constant admiration or become distressed when you're not the focus.
- Exploitativeness
You show moderate exploitativeness — you can be strategic and self-serving in your dealings, but you're not indifferent to the cost imposed on others. You weigh your own interests heavily but don't consistently prioritise them at others' expense.
